Authorities said a woman was found shot to death inside a red pickup truck, and a man was also found shot to death just outside of the truck. Police said the driver's side of the red truck was blown out, and a handgun was found near the man on the ground.
The bodies were identified as Blanca Gonzalez Zeja, 35, and Daniel Dubon, 38, both Lynwood residents, according to the L.A. County Coroner's Office.
The identities of the deceased were not immediately released, but police said both the man and the woman were in the mid 30s.
/*Downey Police*/ said the investigation was still ongoing and are asking witnesses to come forward.
"We will follow up on any leads that we have and any witness information, and if anybody has seen anything, they can call the Downey Police Department," said Downey Police Lt. Phil Rego.
