Shante Thomas, 19, and Deandre Minkens, 20 are each charged with one count of first degree murder and one count of intentional homicide of an unborn child.
The body of Rosemary Newman, 18, was found on Saturday in a Cook County Forest Preserve near Calumet City. The Cook County Sheriff's Office says the two had planned the murder for weeks.
Minkens was the father of Newman's baby.
