Papaya linked to 23-state salmonella outbreak

LOS ANGELES

The tainted papayas come from Mexico and are distributed by Agromod Produce, Inc.

There have been 97 reported cases of salmonella agona and 10 people have been hospitalized.

No deaths have been reported so far.

Agromod Produce has voluntarily recalled all papayas sold before July 23.
