Catherine Kieu of Garden Grove pleaded not guilty to charges of torture and aggravated mayhem.
She's accused of drugging her husband's dinner, then tying him to a bed and mutilating his genitals.
Kieu's husband had filed for divorce two months before the incident.
Kieu is facing life in prison.
