Man arrested for threatening House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, family

November 4, 2011 12:00:00 AM PDT
A man has been arrested on suspicion of threatening House Majority Leader Eric Cantor's family.

Investigators say Tennessee resident Glendon Swift, 62, left two voice messages at Cantor's Virginia office, in which he made anti-Semitic remarks and threatened to rape Cantor's daughter and kill his wife.

The FBI says Swift has admitted making the calls, but claims he was drunk and doesn't remember making any threats.
