Woman fights off coffee shop burglar w/ thermos

ROSS TOWNSHIP, Pa.

But the owner's wife stopped him with some unexpectedly quick reflexes.

"He jumped through the window out of his driver's seat. That's when my wife saw him coming in and grabbed one of these - we call them air pots - it's full of coffee. It's pretty heavy. She hit him in the face with it. That's when she backed up out of our video range and grabbed one of these milk pitchers off the counter and slammed him with that," explained the coffee shop owner.

The robber climbed back into his car and drove off. Video shows he was carrying a tire iron in one hand, but he never got a chance to use it.

Police eventually caught up with the suspect. He is now facing charges for the attempted robbery, and for stealing that van he was driving.
