CA mom sues son over $51M lottery ticket

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.

Etta May Urquhart said she purchased the lottery ticket. When she realized she had won the massive prize, she was so nervous that she asked her son to sign her name in the back of the ticket.

According to the suit, her son, Ronnie Lee Orender, claimed the prize and has been spending the money on homes, cars and his daughters. Court papers claim he bought 10 cars and four homes and put millions into various accounts.

"Etta May told me, 'I love my son. I trust my son. I trusted him. There was no reason for me to ever think anything would happen. This is not my son,'" Urquhart's attorney Barry Goldner told ABC News.

Ronnie Lee Orender has not commented.

For now, a temporary protective order has frozen all assets. The case is headed to court next month.
