Ramos was remembered by friends and loved ones at the Calvary Church in Santa Ana.
The Iraq War veteran disappeared May 2. Her body was found two weeks later near Modjeska Canyon. Family members say she was a strong woman who always achieved her goals.
"It's been tough. We're actually now able to put her to rest. She's in a better place," said Ramos' cousin, Frank Campos.
Ramos would've graduated last month with a degree in criminal justice. Her roommate, 54-year-old Kwang Chol Joy, has been charged with her murder.
