Max Edward Fernandez, 27, was reported missing from the James A. Musick facility in Irvine at 4 p.m. Friday.
Investigators say they found him at a fast-food restaurant in Oceanside shortly before 2 p.m. Saturday.
Fernandez was in jail for possession of stolen property and a narcotics violation.
