Fisherman revives 300-pound shark off Florida coast

LEE COUNTY, Fla.

Orion Wholean recently caught a bull shark off the coast of Florida. He said after releasing it, he noticed the shark wasn't swimming away, so he jumped overboard and swam with it.

Wholean got the shark moving through the water to get oxygen through its gills.

"A lot of people would just throw it over the side, and it would sink, and then it would die," said Wholean. "I knew how exhausted the fish was, and I really just cared to get the fish revived. I knew the fish wasn't going to hurt me because it just wanted to get away; it just wanted to swim away."

This wasn't the first bull shark the angler caught, but it was the largest at 300 pounds.
