Police cruiser rear window shot out in Baldwin Park
Authorities searched for a suspect who shot out the rear window of a police cruiser in Baldwin Park Wednesday night.

BALDWIN PARK, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities searched for a suspect who shot out the rear window of a police cruiser in Baldwin Park Wednesday night.

The shooting occurred around 8:45 p.m. near Ramona and Baldwin Park boulevards in a Burger King parking lot.

The officer had just finished a traffic stop and was pulling out of the parking lot when his window exploded.

Lt. Chris Kubbery said that the neighborhood and surrounding area were being searched as a precaution with the help of K-9 units and a helicopter.

One resident said one person was killed down the street and that this situation has people a little scared.

The shooting suspect remained outstanding.
