LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspect who barricaded himself inside a hotel room in Long Beach Sunday morning has been taken into custody.



Officers responded to a call at about 10:40 a.m. in the 600 block of West Pacific Coast Highway. Upon arrival, they made contact with a man, who proceeded to barricade himself in the room.



A SWAT team was sent to the scene. Authorities advised the public to avoid Pacific Coast Highway and Magnolia Avenue.



The suspect was taken into custody Sunday at about 3:40 p.m. after SWAT officers entered the hotel room. He was booked on a no-bail warrant. The suspect's identity has not been released.



An investigation was ongoing.
