Man found shot to death in Bell alley

BELL, Calif. (KABC) -- A man was found dead from a single gunshot wound to his upper body in a Bell alley Tuesday night, authorities said.

Around 10 p.m., Bell police officers responded to the 6200 block of Orchard Avenue on reports of shots fired in the area. When detectives arrived, they found a male victim in a back alley who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department homicide detectives assisted the Bell Police Department in the investigation.

No suspect information was released. No further information was immediately available.

The investigation was ongoing.
