Driver killed in fiery wreck on La Cienega in Beverly Hills
One person was killed following a fiery car crash in Beverly Hills early Monday morning.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- One person was killed following a fiery car crash in Beverly Hills early Monday morning.

The wreck occurred around 2:30 a.m. near La Cienega Boulevard and Gregory Way. The car appeared to have slammed into a median.

Beverly Hills police said they believe this was a single-vehicle incident. The driver of the car, the vehicle's sole occupant, died following the wreck.

The identity of the driver was not immediately known.

ABC7 viewer Jennifer Alvarez was among the first to drive by the scene of the crash. She posted video of the fiery wreck on her Instagram account.

Authorities said they will be looking through surveillance footage from the area to get a better idea of what may have caused the crash.

La Cienega Boulevard was closed between Olympic and Wilshire boulevards due to the collision, which was under investigation.
