Beverly Hills property hits market for record $1 billion
A 157-acre plot branded as "The Mountain" has a $1 billion price tag, according to the L.A. Times.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- The most expensive piece of land in Los Angeles history is on the market in Beverly Hills.

A 157-acre plot branded as "The Mountain" has a $1 billion price tag, according to the L.A. Times.

The undeveloped area comprised of terraced lots sits at the highest point in the 90210 zip code.

"You could never duplicate this property ever again," listing agent Aaron Kirman said. "Once it's sold, it is gone."

Kirman has already fielded inquiries from five billionaires, but is still waiting to close a deal.

Disneyland and California Adventure could both fit inside the property, he said.
