Big rig drags car, driver pinned underneath trailer on busy Chicago-area highway: Video

CHICAGO (KABC) -- How's this for a nightmare morning commute?

Illinois police say the driver of a Honda Accord, 19-year-old Laylisha Gardner, was changing lanes on Tuesday when she somehow got herself wedged underneath a speeding big rig.

A nearby driver captured the bizarre scene on video as the driver behind the wheel of the tractor-trailer unknowingly dragged the car along a busy highway just west Chicago.

At one point in the footage, Gardner is seen desperately waving for help through her driver's-side window.

Police officers were able to stop the truck and rescue Gardner. No one was injured in the incident.
