Detectives release photo of man found in car trunk in Santa Clarita
CANYON COUNTRY, SANTA CLARITA (KABC) -- The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department released a photo of a man whose body was found in the trunk of his car in Santa Clarita in hopes someone will recognize him.
Detectives identified the man as 28-year-old Jose David Flores of Leggett in Mendocino County. They hope someone who knows him will come forward and help investigators.
A deputy found Flores's body last Sunday inside the trunk of a blue Honda Accord, which was parked illegally at Golden Valley Road and Robert C. Lee Parkway.
Investigators confirmed the car belongs to Flores.
It is unclear how long the vehicle had been parked on the road, but witnesses said they saw the car parked there overnight.
The cause of death has not been determined.
