Investigation underway after possible body of missing person found in Stevenson Ranch

STEVENSON RANCH, SANTA CLARITA (KABC) -- A decomposing body was found hanging from a tree in Stevenson Ranch and it appeared to be a suicide, authorities said Saturday.

The body may be of 21-year-old Matthew Weiss, who had been missing since June 30.

Authorities said the body was found near Pico Canyon and Southern Oaks Drive.

Homicide detectives were investigating the scene.
