Suspects sought after fatal gas station shooting in Buena Park

BUENA PARK, Calif. (KABC) -- A manhunt was underway Saturday morning following a fatal shooting at a gas station in Buena Park.

The victim, later identified as 24-year-old Maher Yousef, was found at 10:30 p.m. lying next to a car with gunshot wounds at a Mobil Mini-Mart in the 5900 block of Beach Boulevard, according to Buena Park police.

Police said the La Mirada resident was transported to University of California, Irvine Medical Center in critical condition and later died from his wounds.

Several witnesses said multiple people were seen running from the area, but police said no arrests were immediately made.

As of Saturday afternoon, Buena Park police detectives were looking into the possibility of robbery as the motive for the incident.
