LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angles is one of six cities where Chick-fil-A is trying out a mobile ordering app.
The new app feature allows customers to skip the line by ordering and paying even before they reach the restaurant.
The Chick-fil-A Mobile Ordering App is unique in that it offers curbside delivery, remembers a customer's name and saves favorite orders.
Chick-fil-A is also announcing the national rollout of mobile payment. Customers nationwide can load funds onto the app and use their smartphones to pay instead of digging through their purse or wallet for cash or a credit card.
Mobile ordering is now available in more than 130 Chick-fil-A restaurants in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Orlando and Washington, D.C.
During the order process customers can choose any entree, side item, sauce and beverage they want and can completely customize their order based on their preferences.
Mobile ordering is not available for breakfast.
The company said it will expand mobile ordering to more restaurants in 2015, with mobile ordering available nationwide by the end of 2016.
Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A operates more than 1,850 restaurants in 41 states and Washington, D.C.
Founded by S. Truett Cathy in 1967, Chick-fil-A produced sales of $5 billion in 2013.
