'Cirque du Soleil' brings 'Avatar' to life in new show
'Cirque du Soleil' is bringing the Oscar-winning movie 'Avatar' to life with high-flying acrobats soaring in the Southland.

ONTARIO, Calif. (KABC) -- Cirque du Soleil is bringing the Oscar-winning movie 'Avatar' to life with high-flying acrobats soaring in the Southland.

The show is called "Toruk: The First Flight." Not only are the performers acrobats, they do their own make-up. The costumes are also designed specifically for each performer.

What is unique to this show is that it is a story and features a narrator who speaks in English and sometimes in the movie's language, Navi. It is also considered a prequel to the film.

The show will be in Ontario at the Citizens Business Bank Arena from Nov. 2 until Nov. 6. It will then move on to Los Angeles on Nov. 11 until Nov. 13. You can find out more by clicking here.
