HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Before pressing his hands and feet into cement in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, actor and filmmaker Vin Diesel called the honor a "miracle."
"In some ways, it's a miracle to come from where I come from and be standing here before all of you, to be honored in this way," Diesel said at the Wednesday ceremony.
He later elaborated that he's amazed he's come so far because of his mixed heritage. His mother is white and his father is black.
"When I started as an actor, there was no such thing as multicultural actors. The lines of stereotypes were so strongly fixed that there was little room for someone like me," Diesel said.
