Trejo's Tacos now open on La Brea Avenue

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Danny Trejo's highly anticipated Trejo's Tacos in Los Angeles is now open on La Brea Avenue.

Machete himself is taking to the kitchen and making his mother's dream come true.

Trejo's Tacos recently opened its doors for a "soft opening" in the Miracle Mile area.

"We have got some of the most delicious tacos known to man," Trejo told Vista L.A.'s Patricia Lopez.

The menu includes specialty tacos, like fried jidori chicken with spicy slaw and black pepper tofu with serrano chilies.

"This was a dream of my mom's really ... we kind of just put it together," Trejo said.

Trejo's Tacos is currently open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
