Foodie Call: Fair Oaks Pharmacy and Soda Foundation

SOUTH PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- Eye on L.A. host Tina Malave checks out a South Pasadena landmark known for its antique pharmacy fixtures, sweets and soda fountain.

Fair Oaks Pharmacy and Soda Fountain is located at 1526 Mission Street.

All of their ice cream concoctions are topped with fresh whipped cream, chopped nuts and a cherry.

The pharmacy opened its doors in 1915 and was a popular rest stop on the westernmost end of Route 66.
