The Foodnited States of America, a pun series of U.S. states made from food

When a blogger was challenged by his 8-year-old son to create food puns around the U.S. States, he didn't hesitate to deliver. Ladies and gentlemen, The Foodnited States of America:

Chris Durso, creator of the Foodiggity blog, wrote that his son first brought the idea to his attention, asking "What if you made States, but like, they were made of food, like?"

"That's been done to death already, son... Go to bed," Durso recalls saying. But, then his son added:

"But what if they like had funny names like New Pork or New Jerky, like?"

"Now, we were on to something," wrote Durso.

Durso began posting the images slowly to the foodiggity Instagram under the hashtag #foodnitedstates, and so far he has half the country served up.
