Double shooting in Harbor City leaves 2 dead, LAPD says
A double shooting in Harbor City on Wednesday morning left two people dead, according to authorities.

HARBOR CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A shooting at a fast-food restaurant in Harbor City on Wednesday morning left two dead, according to authorities.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's Harbor Division responded to a report of shots fired at about 9:30 a.m. in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Normandie Avenue, the agency said.

Police arrived to find two victims, one of whom was pronounced dead at the scene, the LAPD said. A wounded person was transported to a hospital and later died.

The deceased man was in his 20s, according to coroner's officials. His name was not released, pending notification of family. The second person was also not identified.

A loved one of one of the victims told Eyewitness News that someone drove by and opened fire on the restaurant. They said they had no idea why anyone would want open fire on the restaurant and that their loved one was a kind person.

A witness at the scene also said shots went through the window, killing the first victim who was a customer.

No information was available about the shooter or shooters.

Police tape surrounded Bob's Hamburgers in a strip mall at the location, and one northbound lane was closed on Normandie as the investigation got underway.
