Driver sought in Harvard Heights hit-run that left man dead

HARVARD HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Authorities are searching for a driver suspected of hitting a man crossing the street and fleeing the scene, leaving the man to die early Saturday morning.

The incident happened around 12:10 a.m. at the intersection of Western Avenue and Cambridge Street, police said. The victim, who wasn't walking in a marked crosswalk, was struck by the driver and died at the scene.

Authorities said the suspect never stopped, and they could not provide a description of the vehicle.

Anyone with more information on the incident was asked to call the Los Angeles Police Department's West Traffic Division.
