Harvard Heights stabbing: Woman killed, husband injured
The LAPD is investigating a stabbing that left a woman dead and her husband critically injured in the Harvard Heights area.

HARVARD HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a stabbing that left a woman dead and her husband critically injured in the Harvard Heights area.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of Hobart Boulevard just before 6 p.m. Sunday and found the woman's body blocking the inside doorway of the home.

Her husband was found in the bedroom, suffering from stab wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital and is expected to survive, police said.

The victim who died has only been identified as a woman in her 40s.

The circumstances and motive for the stabbings are unknown. No suspect information was immediately released.
