Icons memorialized by Billy Crystal, Barbra Streisand in Oscars segment
The Oscars In Memoriam, which honors industry legends we've lost over the past year, was a powerful segment in which Hollywood icons were honored by fellow actors.
The segment began with a tribute to Rob and Michele Reiner, with actor Billy Crystal speaking to the many films by Reiner.

Later, several of the actors from those films took to the stage, before the full In Memoriam began.
In the segment, Rachel McAdams walked out to honor several of those lost, including Catherine O'Hara and Diane Keaton.
And later, in remembrance of Robert Redford, Barbra Streisand came onto the stage to pay homage to her friend and fellow actor.
"Bob had real backbone on and off the screen," Streisand said.
She went on to honor his work at the Sundance Institute, calling him an "intellectual cowboy" who "blazed his own trail."

She shared an emotional story about the last note she shared with the beloved film icon before closing with a rendition of "The Way We Were" from the movie.
