Election 2024: Biden addresses nation, Trump prepares for 2nd term

With projections made in most states across the country, ABC News has projected that former President Donald Trump will win the high-stakes presidential match-up against Vice President Kamala Harris. Early Wednesday morning, Trump secured enough Electoral College votes to set himself up for a second presidency, including by flipping the key swing states of Georgia, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
Beyond the presidential race, voters also hit the polls around the country Tuesday and cast ballots to decide who controls Congress, state and local governments. ABC News has projected that the ballot measures in Maryland and New York that enshrined reproductive rights into state law will pass.

Judge extends Pa. county voting hours after bomb threat
A Pennsylvania judge granted a petition in Clearfield County to extend voting until 9 p.m. after a bomb threat targeted an administrative building where votes were being counted.
The judge made an oral ruling and a written petition will be filed in the morning, a spokesperson said.
Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro confirmed there was a series of bomb threats in the state and said his office is collaborating with local, state, and federal law enforcement in response to the threats.
"Thus far, there is no credible threat to the Commonwealth," he said.

Harris projected to pick up Rhode Island
ABC News has projected that Harris will pick up Rhode Island's four electoral votes. Harris' victory in the deep blue New England state does not come as a shock as polls consistently showed her leading Trump by double-digits.
