Woman found dead after Long Beach house fire

LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A body was found after firefighters put out a house fire in Long Beach on Tuesday. An investigation is underway.

Police were called to the 300 block of E. Del Amo Boulevard at about 10:20 a.m. after firefighters made the gruesome discovery. Detectives say the victim appears to be an adult female. She has not yet been identified.

Arson investigators and homicide detectives are on scene. The cause of death has not been determined.
