HACIENDA HEIGHTS, Calif. (KABC) -- Extra law enforcement and staff were set to be on campus Thursday at Los Altos High School in Hacienda Heights following a possible threat to students made on social media, school officials said.
Officials will address concerns over a message posted to the school's Facebook page, where a rumor circulated that someone may try to bring a weapon to school.
Investigators said while the information provided was specific, they found no evidence to support it.
School officials want to reassure parents that the campus is safe.
The same school was placed on lockdown in 2013 because of a similar scare.
