Scorching temperatures are expected across Southern California this weekend, with some parts hitting triple digits.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Scorching temperatures are expected across Southern California this weekend, with some parts hitting triple digits.

An excessive heat warning for the western San Gabriel Mountains and the Antelope Valley remains in effect through Wednesday evening.

Another excessive heat warning will be in effect until Sunday night in the Santa Clarita Valley, the Santa Monica Mountains Recreational Area, Calabasas, San Fernando Valley and eastern San Gabriel Mountains.

In Los Angeles and Orange counties, the high temperature on Sunday will be 85 degrees. Similar conditions are on tap on Monday.

The valleys and the Inland Empire will see a high of 98 on Sunday and a low of 67. Similar conditions are on tap on Monday.

At the beaches on Sunday, morning clouds will give way to sunshine and a high of 77 degrees. The low temperature will be 67.

The high temperature in the mountains on Sunday will be 91 degrees, with a low of 55.

A high of around 113 degrees is in the forecast for most of the desert areas this weekend; the low will be 76. In Palm Springs, the temperature will soar to around 120.
