3-year-old taken during home invasion in Van Nuys; LAPD investigating as possible parental abduction

A 3-year-old boy was taken during a home invasion in Van Nuys and police are investigating it as a possible parental abduction.

The incident happened around 8:13 a.m. on Van Nuys Boulevard. The Los Angeles Police Department was trying to sort out exactly what happened, but said it possibly stemmed from a custody dispute between the suspect and victim.

The suspect, only described as an adult man, fled the scene in an older model Ford Explorer.
