Manhattan Beach single-vehicle crash: 1 dead, 4 injured

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- One woman was killed and four others injured in a single-vehicle crash in Manhattan Beach early Sunday.

The vehicle slammed into a light pole and overturned near Sepulveda Boulevard and Marine Avenue at 1:42 a.m.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Four others were transported in unknown condition to Harbor General Hospital in Torrance

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Police were working to determine if alcohol, drugs or speed played a factor in the crash.

The wreck shut down traffic in both directions of Sepulveda Boulevard for hours.
