SAN FRANCISCO -- A 14-year-old from San Francisco who had been missing for more than a week has been found safe thanks to an eagle-eyed city worker.

Pittsburg police say a city landscape worker spotted Katlin Friday and recognized her from a TV broadcast.

In an online post, Katlin's dad thanked everyone who helped look for Katlin - and says he now wants to advocate for missing children legislation.

Katlin Gallaread left home sometime between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 1:30 p.m. Feb. 19 without telling her family, police said.

On Friday, police said they had new information that Katlin may be accompanied by 16-year-old Tyler Sexton, a runaway from Monroe, Michigan. The pair's last known location was in Sacramento.
