1 killed in motorcycle crash on 60 Freeway in City of Industry; all lanes reopened

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. (KABC) -- A fatal motorcycle collision on the 60 Freeway in the City of Industry early Sunday morning forced the closure of all westbound lanes for more than eight hours, the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 4:29 a.m. just west of Crossroads Parkway, according to the CHP. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The highway patrol issued a SigAlert and, at 8:20 a.m., said the westbound side of the freeway would remain closed "until further notice." All lanes were reopened at 12:45 p.m.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
