With all the singing, dancing, comedy routines, and other performances that go into the Oscars every year, many viewers don't know how creatively daunting it can be to pull off an amazing show. Luckily, Neil Patrick Harris gave a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to make the Oscars come to life.
In the video above, Neil Patrick Harris talks about how it is working with show producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan, the need to make celebrities at the show and viewers at home feel at ease, and how he's planning on delivering a top notch awards spectacle.
"I spent a lot of time looking at past years' shows and what they accomplished, and then from that I'm trying to see what's left," Harris said in the video. "So with that in my mind I had hired on a team of writers and we come up with an idea that we think is unique to film, but is also cool to watch live, that will also be another level cool to watch at home."
