SOUTH EL MONTE, Calif. (KABC) -- More than 100 people were arrested at the HARD Summer music festival in South El Monte this weekend.

The L.A. County Sheriff's Department Parks Bureau said 38,952 people attended Saturday's event, held at the Whittier Narrows Golf Course. There were 67 arrests Saturday; seven were felonies and 60 were misdemeanors.

Forty-seven people were arrested Sunday: 38 for alcohol-related offenses.

Some people were arrested Saturday for trying to climb over fences; others were cited for false identification misdemeanors.

The Bureau said narcotics were likely involved in some of the arrests.
