LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A New York woman is suing the managers and operators of the U.S. Bank Tower after she broke her ankle on the Skyslide attraction.
Gayle Yashar, 57, claims that riders cannot slow down enough before reaching the end of the slide and that the pile of mats at the bottom pose a risk for injury. Her husband, Morty Yashar, is also suing, claiming for damages suffered by his wife.
It was unclear how much money the couple is asking for.
The Skyslide opened in June as part of a renovation to the 72-story tower. The slide goes from the 70th floor to the 69th and spans 45 feet.
