3 children, 1 adult hit by vehicle in South LA

SOUTH LOS ANGELES -- Three children and one adult were taken to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle in South Los Angeles on Friday, Los Angeles police said.

According to police, the victims were struck at 79th and Hoover streets shortly before 4 p.m. They were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions were not immediately known.

Police said the driver did remain at the scene, and the incident is not a hit and run. Police did not immediately know if the four pedestrians were in the crosswalk at the time they were hit.
