At least 91 people are missing, a day after a massive landslide buried dozens of buildings when it swept through an industrial park in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen.

The official Xinhua news Agency says the landslide buried 33 buildings in the industrial park in Shenzhen on Sunday. It's a major manufacturing center in Guangdong province across the border from Hong Kong.

Rescue and recovery efforts are underway in southern China for more than 90 people missing after a landslide.



Xinhua says that as of Monday morning, 59 men and 32 women were missing in the landslide.

No deaths have been reported.

Xinhua says an area of more than 650,000 square feet is covered with up to 20 feet of mud, according to geological experts at the site.

The deputy secretary general of the Shenzhen city government says that more than 900 people were evacuated.
