MOORPARK, Calif. (KABC) -- Moorpark police are searching for two burglary suspects who sexually assaulted the female resident who interrupted their break-in.

A 24-year-old woman returned home to her residence on the 4700 block of Elderberry Avenue at about 11:15 a.m. on April 16. She found two men inside in the process of removing items.

The woman said she was sexually assaulted after being confronted by the two suspects, according to police. The suspects fled and were last seen running toward Courtney Lane.

The woman was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

One suspect was described as a white man between 25 and 35 years old, standing 6 feet 2 to 6 feet 4 inches tall, wearing all black clothing and a black beanie hat.

The other suspect was described as a white man around the same age, standing 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, wearing all black clothing. The victim provided a detailed description of the second suspect, resulting in a composite sketch.

The suspects entered through an unlocked door, police said.
