LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A car slammed into a bus stop near downtown Los Angeles on Monday, hitting a mother and two children.

Authorities responded to the bus stop on the northwest corner of Vermont Avenue and Jefferson Boulevard just after 1 p.m.

The victims were rushed to a local hospital. According to LAFD officials, the 32-year-old mother and a 1-year-old girl were in critical condition, while a 3-year-old girl was in serious condition.

The cause of the accident has not been determined.
