Car recovered, person of interest identified in fatal Glendale hit-and-run

GLENDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- Glendale police have recovered a vehicle and identified a person of interest in connection to a fatal hit-and-run crash that left an 81-year-old man dead, authorities announced Wednesday.



The newer model white sedan is being forensically processed for evidence, including DNA. The person of interest's name was not released to the public.



Martiros Arutyunyan was fatally struck by a vehicle while legally crossing Broadway Boulevard at the intersection of Belmont Street around 8 p.m. Saturday.



The suspect, who authorities believe is a woman, fled the scene. An arrest has yet to be made, police said.



On Tuesday, the city of Glendale announced a $50,000 reward in connection to the case.
