Fontana police rescue stranded man in wheelchair

FONTANA, Calif. (KABC) -- A photo captured Fontana police going out of their way to help a man in a wheelchair left stranded on the side of a busy industrial road.

According to police, the man's chair stopped working on a sidewalk along Sierra Avenue. Officers stepped in to help and brought him a new wheelchair.

A bystander took a snapshot of the rescue, and the photo was posted on the department's Facebook page Tuesday.
