LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles County's chief medical examiner-coroner says he is resigning.
Mark Fajardo told Eyewitness News that he's submitting his letter of resignation on Friday.
He said understaffing is the main reason for his decision.
Fajardo said he's received one job offer, which he will probably take. He didn't give any specifics about that job.
Fajardo was named coroner in 2013. He previously served as coroner in Riverside County.
