HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man suffered serious injuries in a fight outside the famous Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. The fight was caught on camera.

Cellphone video captured part of the fight and shows the suspect throwing one of several punches to the victim's face. The victim tried to take down the suspect, but ended up on the ground next to a car. Another man attempts to intervene, but the suspect got in five more blows to the victims' head.

"The suspect punched the victim several times in the face and the body," said LAPD Officer Jane Kim.

Police say the suspect also kicked the man in the head.

The brawl was in an alley on Orange Drive, across the street from the trendy Roosevelt Hotel. A valet attendant from the hotel told Eyewitness News off camera that the two men were shouting at each other from opposite sides of the street for several minutes before the fight broke out.

The fight happened in the early morning of Nov. 1. The Roosevelt held a big Halloween party, but it's unclear if the suspect and victim were there for the event.

The suspect is described as a 30-to 35-year-old Hispanic man, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 180 pounds, with numerous tattoos covering his back and arms.

Police are asking anyone with information on the suspect or the fight to contact the Hollywood Division, or the LAPD tip line at 1-877-LAPD-24-7.
