Seal Beach police officers are looking for a homeless man as a person of interest in a house fire that killed a man and his dog.

John Donnelly, 67, and his dog died Saturday morning after a fire broke out in their home in the 200 block of 17th Street. Authorities said the fire appeared to be arson and may have been caused by an incendiary device used to ignite combustibles outside of the home.

Police said Eric Jesus Andrade, 37, is wanted for questioning in the case. He is homeless and described as a man with a medium build, brown eyes and hair, stands about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds.

Anyone with more information was asked to call the Seal Beach Police Department at (562) 594-7232.
