PHOTOS: Chase suspect hides in North Hollywood neighborhood

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A chase suspect abandoned his vehicle and fled into a North Hollywood neighborhood with what appeared to be an assault rifle on Monday, June 9, 2014.

The incident began in the Hollenbeck area of Los Angeles. The suspect was traveling at speeds up to 100 miles per hour on the 10 Freeway, moved to the 101 Freeway, the 110 Freeway and then the 5 Freeway.

The suspect, later identified as 41-year-old Nolan Perez, surrendered after a nearly four-hour standoff inside a home on the 11500 block of Hartsook Street.
